Thomankuttu and Rainbow Waterfalls are located at a distance of 20 and 25 km from Thodupuzha. The waterfalls are an ideal destination for all those who love to picnic in a natural surrounding. The first mentioned seven steps and a number of surrounding caves characterize waterfall. Lush green forests surround the second one.

If you are a nature lover plus an adventure lover than Thommankuthu waterfall is a place you must visit. The waterfall is a beautiful seven-step waterfall offering pleasant weather. The cascade waterfall is located 20 km away from Thodupuzha, one of the major towns in Idukki district of Kerala and 74 kms from Cochin.
Thommankuthu is an eco-tourism project run by Government of Kerala in cooperation with the Forest Department of Kerala. The seven step water falls that drop down a rock from a height of 1500 meters is a popular and favorite picnic spot. Each cascade has its own pool which is an attractive feature of the fall. Tourists interested in adventure travel can seek a 12km long trek to reach the Thommankuthu waterfall.

Athirappilly is popular among tourists. Athirappilly Falls is one of the best places to visit in Kerala. Another popular waterfall to visit is the Vazhachal Falls. Athirappilly Falls is a part of Chalakudy river and it is approximately 80 feet in height. Athirappilly is easily reachable from Chalakudy by taking a vehicle for rent or by bus from the Chalakudy private bus terminal.

Proper precautions are taken on site to prevent mishaps while swimming and a police camp is always positioned there. Athirappilly is situated on SH-21 highway connecting Tamil Nadu and Kerala, night driving is not advised. But you can enjoy the adventurous drive in the middle of jungle.

This is a tiny village nearly 15kms from Malayattur. The crystal clear medicated water of the River Mulamkuzhi and the waterfalls of Venanbravady near Malayattur is an enchanting sight. There is also a confluence of the rivers Periyar and Perumthode.
In Ernakulam district Mulamkuzhi is a small village about 15 km from Malayattur. It is situated at the point of juncture of rivers Periyar and Perumthode. The river Mulamkuzhi flows through the nearby mountain ranges and cascades into a huge waterfall. It is a picturesque location and a very famous tourist site. Mulamkuzhi waterfall is situated in Mulamkuzhi village in Malayattoor in Ernakulam district.
This waterfall originates from Mulamkuzhi River and flows through the hill ranges. This water is considered to be medicated and is clear and sweet. The village Mulamkuzhi lies at the juncture of the rivers Periyar and Perumthode.
 
Cheeyappara  
The Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls are located between Neriamangalam and Adimali on the Kochi - Madurai highway. The Cheeyappara Falls cascades down in seven steps. It is a real feast for the eyes. This is also a great place for trekking. Valara waterfalls is 10 km from Adimali on the Kochi - Madurai highway. Valara has a chain of waterfalls surrounded by thick green forests.

Lying 50 kms east of Kozhikode, Thusharagiri is a little tribal tourist spot in Kerala. Tow streams originating from the Western Ghats meet here to form the River Challipuzha. The river diverges into three waterfalls, creating a snowy spray, which gives the name 'Thusharagiri' which means 'snowy peak'. A 5km trek upstream will take one to the stream's origin. Of the three waterfalls, the highest is the Thenpara that drops 75 metres below.
The three waterfalls on the backdrop of the Western Ghats provide an exhilarating and spellbinding sight to the visitor. The best roar of the waterfalls can be enjoyed from September to November. The waterfall with its gentle spray is sure to soothe every eye. The cascading waters of the waterfall slides past with surfy smiles.
Of the three, the highest waterfall is the Thenpara that falls from an altitude of 75 metres. Situated at Kodencherry in Kozhikode district, the plantation destination that abounds in rubber, arecanut, pepper, ginger and spices is also a trekker's delight. Trekker's start early morning from the second waterfalls at the hills and climb up through the pristine dense evergreen forests teeming with exotic birds and animals to reach Vythiri and Waynad district by evening. There is a dam located around 45 km from Calicut.

Soochipara Falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is a spectacular three-tiered waterfalls in Vellarimala, Wayanad, surrounded by Deciduous, Wet Evergreen and Tropical Montane (Shola) forests. Locally referred to as Soochipara ("Soochi" meaning "Needle" and "Para" meaning "Rock"), the 15-20 minute drive from Meppadi to Sentinel Rock Waterfalls offers scenic views of some of the best tea estates in Wayanad. The Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is 200 metres (656 feet) and offers a cliff face that is ideal for rock climbing

This 4 feet cascade is one of the most verdant and untouched spots in Kerala. Road accessibility is only up to Bonecaud, there on; the Kanni tribesmen accompany trekkers along the mountain path. Prior permission from the forest department is required before approaching the area .

One can reach Meenmutti waterfalls only after a 2-km trek through the dense forest and a further 2 kms, to the Kombaikani waterfalls.
Meenmutti Waterfalls cascades in three tiers, from a height of 500 metres. Trekking facilities are available from the Kallar Vana Samrakshana Samithi (Kallar Forest Protection Group) at Kallar These are two magnificent waterfalls on the upper reaches of the Neyyar reservoir. A trek of two kms, through dense forests, would take one to Meenmutti waterfalls and a further two kms, to the Kombaikani waterfalls.
